Esker Partners with SlimPay to Offer Online Payment Solution via SEPA Direct Debit

Derby, UK — April 7, 2017 — Esker, a worldwide leader in document process automation solutions and pioneer in cloud computing, expands its Accounts Receivable solution by offering online payment capabilities via SEPA Direct Debit or credit card. This new service, based on Esker’s recent partnership with SlimPay, a European leader for payment by direct debit, will enable companies to meet immediate payment needs by offering a universal and easy-to-implement alternative.
The new payment capabilities allow Esker to advance its order-to-cash (O2C) offerings — from order processing automation and customer e-invoicing to online payment and collections management.
“Improving working capital requirements is a priority for companies, along with improved customer relationships,” said Eric Bussy, Worldwide Corporate Marketing and Product Management Director at Esker. “By enriching our AR solution with online payment, we offer our customers end-to-end automation of their O2C processes. More than just a simple functionality, it represents a major evolution for businesses in how they can pay and get paid — combining speed, security and traceability.”
On-Demand Payment with SlimPay
Thanks to its partnership with SlimPay, Esker is now able to offer its customers (businesses or individuals) a simple, 24/7 payment option for situations requiring prompt payment (e.g., order deposits, payment following invoice disputes, etc.). Unlike payment via credit card, SEPA Direct Debit allows the payment of large sums in Euros in the 34 countries located in the SEPA zone.
“Esker’s solution is not intended to replace a business’s existing payment process, but rather supplements them by providing an additional payment method,” said Bussy. “Esker offers a solution to companies with urgent payment needs and those who wish to expand their usual payment process.”
Customers can access their invoices and payment preferences directly from Esker’s secure web portal, where they can conveniently pay via direct debit in Euros. At the first transaction, customers enter their international bank account number (IBAN) and sign an electronic mandate, using the security code received via mobile phone, which is then used to make payment to the supplier. The SEPA mandate is archived and can be used for future payments. The history and details of each direct debit transaction are available on the web portal. As an authorised payment institution, SlimPay centralises all financial exchanges and ensures the confidentiality and security of all parties’ bank details.
This new online payment solution delivers numerous benefits:
To end customers (businesses or individuals):
- Rapid and simple payment solution, particularly for very small businesses, resulting in fewer payment delays and blocked accounts
- Ability to pay online 24/7 regardless of how the invoice was received (e.g., e-invoice, postal mail, etc.)
To user companies:
- Reduced payment and collection delays with easy access to an immediate payment method
- Simplified payment reconciliation with automatic integration of transaction details in Esker’s solution
- Improved customer satisfaction due to multiple payment options available
