How does Esker Mail Services work?
Mail is sent from front-office or back-office applications, through a secured connection, and received by the Esker data centre, where it is converted to PDF format and barcodes are added. Relevant data about the mail pieces (format, number of pages, postage, envelopes, etc.) is contained within the barcode, which is read by optical laser to prevent any potential format or page number errors. The created documents are then transmitted to an Esker production facility in the U.S., France, Spain, the U.K., Singapore or Australia where they are produced and handed off to the postal service.
